In order to support the achievement of the University’s goals, the UTA’45 Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) was pioneered. The duties of LPPM UTA’45 Jakarta are to carry out, coordinate, monitor the implementation of research and community service, and participate in building the competencies of human resources needed. LPPM is also expected to be part of the members of the Indonesian scientific community, to contribute in the form of research and development of science and technology based on the distinctive colors of the University of 17 August 1945 Jakarta.

Referring to the 2015-2045 National Research Master Plan (RIRN), the University of 17 August 1945 Jakarta established 4 excellent research fields with sub-themes, namely:

  • Economics and Entrepreneurship (Local Economy and MSMEs, Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Culture).
  • Law and Civil Society (Corporation, CSR, Corruption Eradication, Good and Clean Government, Community Empowerment and Public Policy).
  • New and Renewable Energy (Energy Availability, Environmentally Friendly Materials, Green Technology).
  • Health and Medicine (Development of bio-based / herbal medicine, Cancer, Cardiovascular, HIV, Pharmaceutical Management).
